At Projekt 3, I’m here to support a more responsible future for surveying and the planet. I run the business in a low-impact, digital-first way: limited printed materials, minimal travel, and a genuine love for public transport (trains over cars, always where possible!). It’s all part of working in a way that reflects the values I believe in.

Surveyors have a big role to play in building a more sustainable future. Through every report review, training session, and conversation, I help bring climate-conscious thinking into everyday practice, so we’re not just raising standards but leading by example.

Hi, I’m Kate Charrington

I’m a residential surveyor and founder of Projekt 3 - a small, independent service focused on raising standards in home surveys. With over a decade of experience, I’ve moved from delivering surveys to helping others improve them, combining hands-on experience with a deep understanding of the Standards that shape our profession - because I help write them.

I’ve worked with RICS on the Home Survey Standard update, Residential Retrofit Standard, and I currently sit on the RICS Residential Professional Group Panel. But what matters most to me is working closely with surveyors to build confidence, clarity, and trust - one report at a time. I keep things personal, practical and always focused, helping you deliver surveys that are clear, compliant, and ready for the future.

When I’m not immersed in reports or training sessions, you’ll find me learning French, exploring nature, watching films, spending time with animals, or discovering new places.
